McDonald Community Development, Inc.

The following are specific items and projects MCD would particularly like to have funded in 2023:

1. Assemble and Finish Geothermal Greenhouse

   1. Excavate for greenhouse and tube trenches ($9,000)
   2. Plumbing and electrical supplies and hookups ($6,000 each)
   3. 2,500 gallon Norwesco black rainwater capture tank ($3,250)
   4. Rainwater capture fittings and filter system ($5,900)
   5. Gutters ($2,000)
   6. Closed-cell foam insulation ($8,500)

2. Build the Endowment Fund

   The present balance of the MCD Endowment fund is $20,000.00. That's a great start, but our ten-year goal is to grow this fund to $1 Million.

   This endowment, held by Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation, will provide McD an ongoing source of income that we can use to fund projects and leverage additional financial resources.
